In the EYE of the STORM… almost.

Hurricane SANDY has had a huge impact on the New Yorkers’ lives for days now. My thoughts go out to the people waiting in their houses for the storm to pass by.

BIRDS SHALL FLY

My Golden dove necklace is self-made. The row of doves serves as a little reminder to break out of the daily routine and to spread my wings.

Tonight I went to the premiere of ‘THE DETAILS’ in Hollywood and it was such a great variation to my usual night routine. I got close to Tobey Maguire who turned out to be a head shorter than me. The movie is very entertaining, I would definitely recommend it. Such a dark comedy.

Cheers to spreading one’s WINGS!

BACK UNDER THE PALM TREES OF LA

I’m finally back home. I’ve missed the sharp shadows of LA and the warm sunshine on my white skin. Above images show Diane von Fuerstenberg silk top which I love to wear any day when I feel Marine vibes. Skirt H&M.

The black outfit below showcases my studded loafers that I had bought three weeks ago at ZARA but didn’t have the time to break in yet. I love how the classic shape of the loafers has this studded edge. So me.

REENTRY into LA heaven in 14 hours

At HONG KONG airport – Catching the last rays of sunshine on the bridge. Ready for departure in sneakers, leggings, scarf and leather jacket. Personally, I love this comfortable outfit for a 14 hour flight incl. one transfer. You’re on the run during the transfer and you need to protect yourself against the cold air during the flight.

How to weigh apples

October 25, 2012 § Leave a comment

This has been my last day in China: After some prototype corrections and factory visits, I was taught how to weigh apples the Chinese street style way. A cute girl in a red dress watched me fail vigorously. Hehe.

//Tomorrow is my big day. I’m finally flying home from Hong Kong to LA. This means that I will be in the air for over 12hours and -unless I decide to kill my jetlag with a caffein high after the flight- I’ll be disappearing for 24hours in my bed afterwards.

We’ll see what kind of signals my body will send to me.

COUNTING TILES

If you start counting the days until you leave China, it’s about time that business trip comes to an end. I’m starting to miss human touch.

Last night I had a 90-minute full body Swedish massage. No idea what was Swedish about it, but for sure I felt like a new-born afterwards.

Above you can see some images from my Sunday afternoon bike ride along the SONG SHAN LAKE and my tea time pics. Three more days until I finally

fly back to my beloved. Can’t wait.

HUNTING DRAGONS

Chinese New Year has just passed. Therefore you see a lot of RED-colored banners in every street. Red is the color of happiness and good luck in China – which is also embodied by the dragon who is fighting all bad demons one might face in the new year. I find it fascinating to study the Chinese culture!
